It is natural that all parents like their children to be best among their class mates. They like them to stand first in exams as well as all other activities that they participate in. This is good but this urge sometimes develop a sense of competition among children.
In their wish to stand first, they start taking it as competition, where for them to be at first position the other needs to remain behind them. Parents need to be careful when guiding their children to strive for number one so it doesn’t negatively develop a sense of competition in them.
Research suggests negative impact of competition in life to follow. We should focus on cooperation and support for other fellows. The competence and striving for best can come from sense of cooperation if understood correctly.
They need to understand what they need to achieve in life as compare to a narrow focus on just one dimension in life. Sense of cooperation prepares them to take into consideration all around them. It not only includes the human but all living beings, nature and environment too.
