Are you upset with them being messy with their toys? Do the tidy up yourself everyday till they accept it as a habit and start doing it themselves. You need to do more than just advising. They don’t understand advice. They wouldn’t simply follow your ‘do” and “don’t”.

You yourself need to be organized in all you do that they can observe whether it be cleaning, washing, driving, dressing up or simply each and every bit that you do. If you like them to be organized better you get organized yourself. You should ensure cupboards are maintained in tidy manner. Shoes are placed back in the rack always.
